[Anyone else think Romney looks as plastic as Max Headroom?]
Well, it looks like Clinton and Romney have wrapped up Nevada. [...sigh...] It’s probably appropriate for the media to start talking about Clinton “inevitability” again, but what about Romney? Is he the inevitable Republican? One of my friends commented to me recently that he thought Romney would win the Republican nomination, not so much because he’s the first choice among Republicans, but rather because he seems to be everyone’s second choice. This might be an adroit insight. Just to be clear, Romney is not my second choice. I’m not sure that I know who is… probably Ron Paul… dunno.
Anyway, Robo-Romney, the candidate product of focus groups for whatever demographic he happens to be pandering to, is just too perfect. The hair, the polish, the plastic smile. I didn’t think Asimov’s I, Robot would come true so soon, with one ascending to the position of candidate for leader of the free world. Admittedly, I’m getting ahead of myself. There is still much computing and campaigning to do before he can tell the other candidates, “hasta la vista, baby.” Did I leave out any pop culture robot references?

Max looks a little too real to be Mitt.
My choice tree is this:
Rudy
Thompson
Obama / McCain
Voting for McCain all depends on whether or not I chew off my arm while I am in the booth. If I am hungry he probably doesn’t get my vote.

Dorf… if you’re reading, you’ll want to follow that last link.

Yeah. Thompson might be my second choice too - not sure. Paul is a little wacky, but I do like this views on liberty. This thing isn’t over for Rudy…. I just hope he can pull out a victory in Florida.
I can vote for McCain. I’ll tell you one thing, on the basis of his six years in the Hanoi Hilton, you won’t see me criticize him on this blog. He’s at least earned that.
