Random Monday Thoughts

The New York Giant were the better team yesterday, but probably the worst team to win a Super Bowl in years if not decades. The same goes for Manning as a quarterback. The Rams with Warner and the ‘greatest show on turf,’ the Minnesota Vikings with Moss, and now the New England Patriots with their record setting offensive once again proved the old adage…defense wins champions. And I would like to thank the Giants for giving the members of the ‘72 Dolphins further reason to live. Now that the Patriots lost, they can feel like their record means something again. To bad they probably wouldn’t rank in the top ten best teams ever, but at least they were perfect.
Now that football season is over that only means one thing…the wait for the preseason football begins. The saving grace for those of us in central Iowa is the Drake Bulldogs basketball team, as the Cyclones and Hawkeyes suck. Anyone know when arena ball and NFL Africa starts? I am starting to get withdrawals.
Super Tuesday is almost upon us. Either Democrats can finally do something to help this nation or they can further screw it by nominating Hillary. Please, for love of God, liberals do the right thing and give America the choice of Obama. The Republicans were nice enough to conceded the nomination by giving you either Romney or McCain to run against, at least you could return the favor and show a little compassion by giving us a Barack administration.
Obviously the Punxsutawney Phil didn’t get the bleeping memo that global warming exists. A foot of snow in parts of Iowa yesterday with severe rain snow mix coming today followed by more snow tomorrow. Apparently being in touch with the rhythm of earth’s movements doesn’t provide Al Gore a special kinship and the ability to talk to small woodland creatures and rodents. Squeekin’, squeeker, squeekin’ squeek is woodchuck for Al Gore is a dumbass.
