I’ve now realized that Metallica hasn’t necessarily lost their ability to write a decent song, they’re just writing down to their fan base. Amazingly I still get comments on my Top Ten Worst Metallica Songs post. This, of course, amuses me. How can I not be amused really…
Victoria wanted me to know:
“Dude! What kind of Metallica fan are you anyways? If you were a REAL Metallica fan, then you give a DAMN if some of the songs were a little crappy. Besides, King Nothing, The Unforgiven, Until It Sleeps, Whiskey In The Jar, almost every song on there is great. You really and truly suck. It’s sad, but it’s true.”
Anonymous also bravely stated:
“Metallica is Metallica and true fans wouldnt give a shit about which songs are crap, they are still gods”
A true fan would still choke down the shit Metallica has been dumping out because that’s what a true fan does. That settles it then, I am definitely not a true fan because crap is crap and the fanboy in me isn’t deaf.
