Wii Fit, No We Aren’t

Posted by Jeremie Jordan on May 21, 2008

In an effort to get into sharp yet again, my wife and I decided to buy WiiFit. It’s yoga, strength training, aerobics and games tied into a nice little package. After an initial workout my suspicions were confirmed…I am out of shape. Well that’s not entirely true, I am in shape; the round shape. I’ve gotten worked up playing WiiSports, but it’s nothing on the workout I got with WiiFit. I was panting and cursing my female on screen trainer. If I didn’t still have a molecule of dignity left I would video tape my excising attempts for you all to laugh at, but instead you will have to watch others fail on YouTube (although Matt Lauer does have one good line).

I will try to update you all on my progress each week while offering some further insight into what appears to be an excellent product. The Wii was already damn near impossible to find, with Wii Fit I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

I will not be mocked by video game trainer. It’s on lady!

I wasn’t planning on getting the Fit at first but the reviews convinced me. Everyone is loving it. I don’t have one yet and places I checked are sold out. I am hoping they are back in stock soon.

Also, I can’t wait to have yet another accessory cluttering up my living space. :(

I wasn’t planning getting it right away either, but Sonda really wanted it and it’s a video game so I am not going to say no.

After two days of workouts I am still really impressed. It makes me sweat and breathe heavy, which before using it I thought wouldn’t be possible. It’s not the gym (and it’s not meant to be), but it’s pretty close.
